Read and Destroy Archive Book available now.

RAD magazine first rolled onto the scene in May 1987, rising from the ashes of BMX Action Bike magazine.

Thirty years later in 2017 and the Read and Destroy Archive was launched to catalog and share highlights, alongside never-before-seen material, from this essential chronicle of UK skateboarding.

In 2024, the story continues with the release of READ AND DESTROY, Skateboarding through a British lens ‘78-‘95 a 272-page hardback book published by Acc Art Books.

This comprehensive volume celebrates the vibrant life and times of RAD magazine, as captured by its original creators.

The book and archive feature the visionary work of editor, photographer, and RAD pioneer Tim Leighton-Boyce, along with iconic contributions from photographers like Vernon Adams (AKA Jay Podesta), Paul Sunman, Wig Worland, Leo Sharp, Skin Phillips, Andrew Horsley, Percy Dean, and more.

Book now available via skates-shops and bookshops across the UK, Europe and the USA. Links Below.
